Mod. 1: Journalistic Forms of Presentation and Moderation
In this module, you will learn about the various design options available in radio. You can host live programs alone or in pairs, create segments or entire reports, conduct interviews… this is where you will learn how.
Mod. 2: Recording technology
Interviews or broadcasts do not always have to be live. In this module, we will show you our digital recording devices that all active radio makers can borrow. But even with smartphones, very good audio recordings can be made nowadays.
Mod. 3: Editing Techniques
In this module, you will get to know a digital audio editing software. We use freeware, which means a legal free program. With this software, you can edit your interviews or an entire show if you want to make radio from home.
Mod. 4: Broadcast technology and live broadcasting
In our broadcasting studio, we have state-of-the-art technology that is on par with the equipment in commercial radios. In this module, we will explain all the functions of the mixing console to you for the first time. But don’t worry, before we leave you alone in the studio, there will be opportunities to practice. For those who dare, there will be a chance to go live on air at the end of the first workshop day.
Mod. 4: Media and Copyright Law
When designing your broadcasts, there are some legal frameworks to consider. However, you will not only learn what you are not allowed to say or which tracks you cannot play. You will also get to know your own rights: As a creator of radio programs, you have the same rights as all artists to ensure that no one uses your works without your consent.
