Hoomidaas Records is a Los Angeles-based electronic music label founded by Armen Miran, the Armenian-American DJ, producer and multi-instrumentalist.

The label was created as a deeply personal artistic platform rather than simply a vehicle for releasing music. Its name is a stylized acronym for “Who Made Us”, reflecting Armen Miran’s belief that our past experiences and narratives shape who we become. The word “hoom” also has an Armenian connection and is described by the label as meaning “raw.”

The central artistic idea became the concept of imagining “the raw side of the sun” — the unseen side of something familiar. This concept strongly influenced both the music and visual identity of the label.

The artwork became an important part of the project. Hoomidaas developed a close creative relationship with Rambalkoshe, whose artwork and illustrations helped establish the label’s distinctive psychedelic, mystical and organic visual identity.
