Breakbeat Science Recordings was founded in the US in the mid-1990s and was closely associated with the New York record store Breakbeat Science, one of the most important meeting places for jungle and drum & bass fans in North America.
The label released music by both American and British artists and played a significant role in raising the profile of drum & bass in the US. It was considered a key platform for the US scene, particularly in the late 1990s and early 2000s.
ORGONE Recordings was an independent drum & bass label that emerged in the late 1990s. It focused on technically sophisticated, atmospheric, and experimental drum & bass and collaborated with artists who shaped the more futuristic sound of the era. The label released a relatively small number of records but still enjoys a strong reputation among collectors and enthusiasts of underground drum & bass.
